Terms of Service
Last updated: March 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using FreeSiteAudit (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
FreeSiteAudit provides website audit reports for businesses. The Service analyzes publicly accessible websites using automated, rules-based checks and generates narrative recommendations using AI models (Google Gemini Flash for free audits, Claude Opus 4.6 for paid reports).
What We Analyze:
- Performance & page load speed (Core Web Vitals)
- Mobile responsiveness and user experience
- SEO fundamentals (title tags, meta descriptions, schema markup)
- Security (SSL certificates, security headers)
- Content quality and clarity
- Lead generation elements (CTAs, forms, contact info)
- Local SEO factors (for businesses with physical locations)
Important Note: Reports are generated using artificial intelligence and should be considered advisory in nature. They are not a substitute for professional web development, legal, or business consulting. We provide recommendations, not guarantees.
3. User Obligations
- You must provide accurate information (email, website URL).
- You may audit any publicly accessible website for educational or informational purposes. For commercial use (e.g., client reports, prospecting, or agency services), a paid subscription is required and you must comply with applicable laws.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Specifically:
- AI-Generated Content: Audit reports are generated using artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, AI models can make mistakes, miss issues, or provide recommendations that may not apply to your specific situation.
- No Guarantees: We do not guarantee that implementing our recommendations will improve your search rankings, traffic, conversions, or business outcomes.
- Not Professional Advice: Our reports are educational and advisory. They do not constitute professional web development, legal, security, or business consulting advice.
- Service Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation of the Service. Website audits may occasionally fail due to technical issues, third-party API limitations, or target website configurations.
- Third-Party Content: We analyze publicly accessible websites but are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or content of the websites we audit.
Bottom line: Use our recommendations as a starting point, but always consult with qualified professionals (developers, SEO experts, lawyers) before making significant changes to your website or business.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreeSiteAudit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific report in question.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify active users via email at least 14 days before changes take effect
- For significant changes, display a prominent notice on our website
Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may discontinue use of the Service and request a refund for any unused paid services within 30 days of the change notification.
11. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I audit a website I don't own?
You may audit any publicly accessible website for educational or informational purposes. For commercial use—such as generating reports for clients, prospecting, or offering audit services—a paid subscription is required. Paid plan users may audit public websites commercially, but must ensure their use complies with applicable laws and regulations.
What if the AI gets something wrong?
AI models are not perfect. If you believe a recommendation is incorrect or doesn't apply to your situation, you can contact us at hello@freesiteaudit.com with the specific issue. We'll review it and, if appropriate, issue a refund or regenerate the report.
Can I share my audit report?
Yes! You own the audit report generated for you. You may share it with your team, clients, contractors, or anyone you choose. Paid plan users with white-label features may deliver branded reports as part of their agency services. You may not, however, resell raw FreeSiteAudit reports without a paid subscription.
Do you store my website's private data?
No. We only analyze publicly accessible content, what anyone on the internet can see. We do not access password-protected areas, admin panels, databases, or private content. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What if I implement your recommendations and my site breaks?
Our recommendations are advisory. Always test changes in a staging environment before deploying to production. We are not liable for any damages caused by implementing our recommendations. We recommend working with a qualified web developer for technical changes.
How often should I run an audit?
We recommend running an audit every 30-90 days, especially after making website changes. Websites degrade over time: plugins update, content gets added, and best practices evolve. Regular audits help you stay ahead.
