The Local Business SEO Checklist for 2026

  • Address, phone, hours are complete and accurate
  • Business description (750 characters) includes services and location
  • At least 10 photos (exterior, interior, team, work)
  • Publish at least 1 GBP post per week

NAP Consistency (Critical)

  • Name, Address, Phone identical on website, GBP, and all directories
  • Format is consistent everywhere ("123 Main St" vs "123 Main Street," pick one)
  • Use LocalBusiness schema on your website with matching NAP
